LaiKA Quartet

Description

LAiKA Quartet is a string quartet based in Copenhagen, made up of four young, curious, passionate musicians: Jonas Willaume and Jakob Elmark, violinists, Jens Bendix Nielsen, violist, and Amalie Askjær Staunæs, cellist. They met at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium in 2022 and quickly came together as a string quartet. When they began playing together, it felt like a perfect match. They had good chemistry in the rehearsal room, quickly became close friends, and within a short time found a flow and a rhythm in their ensemble playing and working process, which has only grown better with time.
