LAiKA Quartet
LAiKA Quartet is a young and passionate string quartet based in Copenhagen. The four musicians met at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and quickly came together as a quartet, and since 2023 have received tuition and taken part in various masterclasses. The quartet has achieved success with an engaged concert practice in Denmark, where they present a versatile repertoire with great commitment and musicality.
An essential part of our journey as an ensemble is our joy of playing, which we push as far beyond the edge of the stage as we can. At every concert we have played, we are told that our passion rubs off and adds a special atmosphere to the music. Every concert whets our appetite, and in all our performances presence, concentration and contact with the audience are what matter most to us. We are driven to a great extent by our collective development as a quartet, and we hope in time to establish ourselves as one of the leading Danish string quartets.
