Elvermose Koncerter
Nakskov
In the summer of 1982, on the coast of West Lolland, at the beautiful Frederiksdal, two classical concerts were held with fine local musicians.
It became the start of an institution: Frederiksdal Slotskoncerter.
For 26 years, summer after summer, Danish and foreign artists have played chamber music in the great Baroque halls, and when the joy of listening to music gave us a desire to help the music be born, in 2004, together with Jakob Kullberg, we founded Open Strings Cello Masterclasses.
In 2009 we left Frederiksdal to live on a farm on the other side of the cherry orchard. The place is called Elvermose, where, with an acoustician's expertise, we have transformed a barn into a fine-sounding concert hall open to the Langelandsbæltet.
There, under the name Elvermose Klassiske Koncerter, the music flourishes as never before.
In the summer of 2012 we could thus celebrate 30 years of music and joy.
The guiding principle has been to invite celebrated musicians and ensembles, as well as to make room for newly emerged young musicians. To invite people to listen widely, from the Baroque to the music of our own time. To enrich and to delight. A faithful and enthusiastic audience gives us pleasure by appreciating the spirit and quality of the concerts.
