Minifestival for Ny Dansk Musik
25. jun. - 26. jun.
Aarhus
Minifestival for Ny Dansk Musik (Mini Festival for New Danish Music) is organised by New Music for Strings in collaboration with Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, AUT and Mols i Udvikling. The festival takes place in Aarhus and Vrinners. The programme offers a string of leading young Danish and international string players and composers, including Nightingale String Quartet and several world premieres by Danish composers.
Theme: Expanding tradition-imagining the future
This year's festival focuses on the very newest composed music and its roots in the classical – and especially the Danish – music tradition. The programme focuses on composers with ties to Aarhus and Mols, but also on works inspired by other genres. How is the new generation of composers' music inspired by the traditions they are themselves part of? And how are the forms of expression of classical composed music being expanded in these years?
The concerts are free. In connection with the church concerts we encourage donations of DKK 50 to Folkekirkens Nødhjælp's efforts for Ukraine.
