Haydn Festival
2. sep. - 4. sep.
København
3-day festival with music by Haydn
Danmarks Underholdningsorkester and principal conductor Adam Fischer invite you to a new annual festival, where we put the focus on Joseph Haydn. Enjoy 3 days of concerts in the Concert Hall of the Conservatory on Frederiksberg.
In his lifetime Haydn was one of the very greatest figures of the age on the European music scene. He was celebrated as a bona fide superstar. History has since – very undeservedly – placed his works in the shadow of Mozart and Beethoven. We now intend to change that. Join us on a journey into Joseph Haydn's exciting and subtly witty symphonic universe.
Haydn Festival will be an annually recurring event until 2025. Every year we record six symphonies, and invite you to a festival where Haydn's music receives the high degree of attention it deserves. There is hardly any other conductor in the world who has a sharper and more personal eye for Haydn's musical wit than Adam Fischer. Below you can read more about the festival, the hosts, the concert programmes and the brand-new recording of Haydn's music.
