Kolding
Kolding i Toner is a three-day award-winning music festival, which was held for the first time in Kolding in 2021. In April 2022 the festival won Kolding Kommune's Culture Prize 'Årets Kulturelle Highfive'.
The festival's purpose is to spread the joy of music, and classical music in particular, to a larger and more diverse audience. Our focus is on classical music at a high artistic level, but we also have concerts with jazz and folk music. At the festival you can experience classical concerts in the traditional sense, but also more unconventional settings with, among other things, ballet dance and drawing.
The whole festival is organised by two friends, Mathilde Qvist and Anne Skærbæk, who are musicians themselves. The idea sprang up when the country was slowly beginning to open up again last year after the second coronavirus lockdown. We were impatient to get out and play, and saw our chance to create a festival when the possibility of holding concerts again became a reality.
The festival was a great success in the last two years, and we look forward to Kolding i Toner 2023, which will be even bigger!
