NEW YEAR GALA

Description

We have this year put together a varied and festive programme that bubbles with dance, virtuosity and festive elegance. The ingredients are first and foremost a good portion of the traditional glittering Viennese sounds that have become the very symbol of New Year's concerts the world over. We add a little romantic glow with well-known and beloved excerpts from works by, among others, Grieg. Finally we spice the evening with a portion of classical elegance and a little opera drama, as well as bubbling energy from Rossini. "Celebrating a new year is both exciting and thought-provoking. A year holds all emotions, and those are what we will try to create at the New Year Gala concert. But joy and enthusiasm in particular will run through it all. I am enormously looking forward to leading the audience and orchestra through a sparkling, champagne-popping, festive-fireworks evening." Peter Mygind There will be soloists from the orchestra, and the host, Peter Mygind, will guide the audience through the festive evening with joy and warmth. Altogether it will be a musical celebration full of rhythmic vitality, lyrical beauty and radiant New Year atmosphere. Duration: approx. 2 hours incl. interval
