Aarhus Kammermusikfestival came into being in 2019 out of a burning wish to bring classical chamber music of the very highest calibre to Aarhus. The initiator was the pianist Tony Nguyen, who grew up in Aarhus himself and therefore wanted to give something back to his beloved home town.
For the fourth year in a row, Aarhus Kammermusikfestival looks forward to welcoming audiences to a densely packed programme with top international artists playing together with some of the country's best young musicians. Over three days, eight concerts present a broad range of the very best chamber music!
Come and experience 3 evening concerts with unique and magnificent chamber music; 2 afternoon concerts in the form of a shorter, intimate musical experience;
Our ’Musical Rising Stars’ – where you can experience chamber ensembles from Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium and tomorrow's stars from Aarhus Musikskole/MGK-Ø playing together with our professional festival musicians;
And last but not least, we repeat last year's success - the Night Concert - where the festival musicians late on Saturday evening will present their absolute favourite works in relaxed and cosy surroundings.
The festival takes place in the heart of Aarhus and is organised in collaboration with Musikhuset Aarhus and Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium.
