In 2024 Golden Days joins the conversation about the so-called working life, as the festival from 6-22 September tries to find the balance between past, future, part-time, overtime and leisure time.
Golden Days communicates history, culture and science with the ambition of making the material engaging and interesting for as many people as possible. The festival experiments with communication, formats and content, so that cultural history is brought into play in an involving and topical way.
Golden Days is a cultural-history festival that, with curiosity and a twinkle in its eye, takes history, the present and the things that have shaped us, and treats them with loving, critical and creative care.
Every year in September the festival explores a new theme from a range of different perspectives, academic disciplines and aesthetic starting points.
The festival offers a wealth of events created in collaboration with more than 100 partners in Copenhagen and surroundings – museums, cultural centres, libraries, cinemas, theatres, concert venues, organisations, businesses and others.
