Rudersdal Sommerkoncerter
9. aug. - 30. aug.
Rudersdal Sommerkoncerter 2026 offers 10 concerts with soloists and ensembles from Denmark and abroad. Look forward to concerts with the festival ensemble Rudersdal Kammersolister, the Polish star pianist Krzysztof Książek, LAiKA Quartet, Duo Askou//Andersen, Vokalensemblet Dekorum, the clarinettist Jonas Frølund, the harpist Maria Cleary and many more.
The programme consists of both great classics by Brahms, Dvořák, Grieg, Schumann and others, and new music by the festival composers. This year's Danish festival composer is Veronika Voetmann, and the international one is Rafał Augustyn from Poland.
In addition a number of masterpieces by classical composers who, for uncertain reasons, have not become widely known are presented. You can look forward to hearing music by Carl Nielsen's good friend, the Dutchman Julius Röntgen, the Danish Romantic Ludolf Nielsen and two young great talents who both lost their lives aged 24: the French Lili Boulanger (1893-1918) and the Belgian Guillaume Lekeu (1870-1894).
Besides the music there are a number of introductory events in the form of guided tours and talks. Among other things you can drop by Pop-up Museum Vedbækfundene, have a Baroque harp demonstrated and hear about being a Polish composer behind the Iron Curtain.
