Klassisk Efterår Tølløse is an annual classical music festival in week 39, whose main purpose is to be a local beacon in the presentation of classical music at the highest professional level and a gathering place for classical music outside the Copenhagen area. We invite you to intimate musical experiences in the form of chamber concerts, solo concerts and talks. We want to create the conditions for citizens, children and adults alike, to have a shorter path to meeting professional classical music. The festival's high artistic level is to be inclusive, and everyone should feel welcome at our concerts. With the festival we want to broaden the palette of existing cultural offerings in Tølløse and in Mid and North-West Zealand. The concerts are held locally, and we include as many local institutions as possible as concert venues. This creates a unique musical community in which the town's institutions can open their doors to the local community and cooperate across boundaries under a shared project. Klassisk Efterår Tølløse was founded in 2020 by the orchestral conductor and cultural leader Frederik Støvring Olsen, who also served as artistic director of the festival until 2025, when Teresemarie Lisiux took over as director. The festival is a self-governing project under the association Fællesskab Tølløse in Holbæk Kommune. Among other things, Fællesskab Tølløse works to mobilise the good and positive forces in the town and unite them in a common effort. With the association's various projects, it helps to create strong local communities.
