Aarhus Kammermusikfestival
24. sep. - 27. sep.
Aarhus
Aarhus Kammermusikfestival invites all music lovers to four exciting days, where together we celebrate classical music and go exploring among its many facets!
The festival wants to create present, engaged meetings between artists and audience – both on stage and outside the concert hall. Here the audience is invited into a musical universe where classical masterpieces meet choral music, jazz, folk music and new concert formats.
From 24-27 September 2026 it all kicks off at Musikhuset Aarhus. This year's headliner is Den Danske Strygekvartet, one of the world's leading chamber music ensembles and recipient of Léonie Sonnings Musikpris 2025. The audience can also experience the award-winning jaw harp player Mathias Heise, the women's choir SORA, the cellist Jonathan Swensen, the pianist Tanja Zapolski and a number of young, local musicians.
Test your knowledge at QuizKoncert, get closer to Den Danske Strygekvartet at Artist Talk and, as something completely new, we invite both audience and musicians to communal dining on Saturday evening!
Aarhus Kammermusikfestival is for everyone – whether you are a regular concertgoer or experiencing classical music for the first time. Several events are free, young people under 18 have free admission, and you can choose between a festival pass or tickets to individual concerts.
