Randers Kirkemusikfestival
28. sep. - 6. okt.
Randers
The idea for Randers Kirkemusikfestival arose among an association of local organists and musical enthusiasts, who saw an opportunity to bring more music out into the town's beautiful church spaces.
The main purpose of creating a church music festival has been to be able to unfold a wide range of musical experiences, ranging from classical choir and organ to
modern interpretations of traditional hymns, which highlight both the traditional
and the innovative in church music.
Church music is a living tradition that continues to develop, while
it preserves the connection to its history and heritage. It spans a wide
spectrum of styles and expressions and has a unique ability to unite faith, art and
community.
