Aalborg Operafestival
10. aug. - 18. aug.
Aalborg
Once again this year, Aalborg Operafestival has pulled out all the stops to create an exciting and inspiring programme for you.
“Opera for everyone” sounds like a worn-out cliché, but nonetheless it was our guiding principle when we put the programme together. Opera is not for the few, but for everyone. Opera is universal stories that make us wiser about ourselves and each other. Opera is a mirror in which we can recognise ourselves and our feelings, the good, the bad and perhaps also the forbidden..
We have chosen to aim wide, from The Magic Flute for the very youngest to popular concerts in streets and alleys, inviting you into the singer's workshop and to grand, lavish concerts and everything in between for beginners and novices, and I am sure there is something for you too.
We will meet local, national and world stars, all of whom help to set the frame for a successful opera festival, and none can do without the other to reach the goal, and I can guarantee you that everyone has worked hard to create unforgettable opera experiences for you.
A big thank you goes to all collaborators and foundations that have backed the festival; it is overwhelming to feel how much the festival means locally and nationally. And I am sure that Denmark's oldest opera festival will once again this year surprise, entertain and give you fantastic memories, just as we will.
