Another summer is around the corner – and with it another baroque festival!
We are looking forward to Copenhagen Baroque Festival 2021, which this year takes place during the period: 18-22 August
Trinitatis Kirke, Rosenborg Slot and Rundetaarn are once again with us as permanent partners, and we are very grateful to be able to present the music in such beautiful historic settings! So a big THANK YOU for the collaboration.
Also a big, heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who help along the way and support the festival, and to
all the foundations who have kindly secured the festival's realisation.
This year we look forward to presenting the music in its many different guises – from music written for church services, through the music at the court of King Christian 4, to the merry folk music that rang out from the alehouses and the small village inns.
As something completely new, this year you can learn baroque card games with the original rules! We have
two teaching sessions and then an evening of card games and lovely music in a genuine inn atmosphere.
And true to tradition, we put the spotlight on a slightly lesser-known baroque instrument – this year the choice has fallen on the baroque harp and the Irish harp, so you will be able to hear a talk about the harp, as well as enjoy a solo concert with Irish harp during the festival!
Welcome to these festive card-game events, to talks, to our traditional music service and to all the concerts from Wednesday to Sunday!
Enjoy the festival!
