From 4–9 August the manor house Nørre Vosborg is once again filled with the sounds of the classical guitar, when Danish Guitar Camp takes place for the fourth year in a row. With a full festival pass you get access to three widely different concerts, where some of the most distinctive figures in guitar music meet in intimate and atmospheric surroundings. The first evening offers a solo concert with the world-famous Pavel Steidl (Czech Republic), who is known for his flamboyant, almost theatrical expression and his deeply personal approach to the music. His concerts move freely between historical practice, his own compositions and elements of world music – and have made him a sought-after guest on stages all over the world. On the second evening two of Denmark's most award-winning guitarists, Jakob Bangsø and Niklas Johansen, meet in a double concert. Both have made a strong international mark with competition wins and solo appearances with orchestras in Europe, North America and Asia – and at Nørre Vosborg they play, among other things, music by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Per Nørgård and Rune Glerup. The third and final concert is a special evening with two widely different voices on the same stage: Petra Poláčková (Czech Republic), who plays music by Matějka and Mertz with great lyrical clarity, and Jesper Sivebæk, who revisits the manor house with both old and brand-new arrangements of Kim Larsen's immortal songs. Three evenings, three moods, five strong artists. The guitar at the centre – in the heart of West Jutland.
