Gong Tomorrow 2022 is a festival for many-sided listening. Over a week in late summer we hand the microphone to everything that is more than human. The festival presents a wildly growing programme of experimental music, sound art and newly written works, which show ways to feel connected with other species.
It will be a party to which all species are invited. We sharpen the senses and tune our ears to rarely heard frequencies. Everything that buzzes, hums, whooshes, creaks, bleats, tingles and crawls. Experience intimate plant concerts in wild urban nature, glacier noise, insect music, singing farm animals, a rock opera about climate grief, aromatic scent concerts and shared exercises in new concepts of nature.
Gong Tomorrow explores the potential of music to open up a more multilingual world and celebrate our connectedness.
