OpenDays Festival 2026
30. okt. - 1. nov.
Nørresundby
Once again Waves up North is delighted to welcome you to OpenDays Festival - a 3-day festival of new compositional music and sound art, held this year for the 17th year in a row.
Welcome to a curious encounter with the boundary-pushing, the different, the very latest!
Over the three days OpenDays will present a beautiful bouquet of concerts with professional artists in new music and sound art - from artists who travel to Aalborg from abroad, to professional Danish and local musicians and composers - all specially selected from Waves up North's large international network of musicians and composers.
OpenDays takes place at the cultural centre Nørresundby Gl. Rådhus - with the fine acoustics of the Council Chamber, where the new music can unfold, as well as the beautiful staircase and the view of Nørresundby Torv, just steps from the Limfjord, which together invite musical experiments.
You are welcome to join this shared voyage of discovery into new music and sound art!
Waves up North is proud to have agreements in place with a string of top professional artists from the international, the Danish and the local music scene:
