The storytelling concert 'Lyt til Månen' (Listen to the Moon) is a reinterpretation of the classical masterpiece the Moonlight Sonata, composed by Beethoven in 1801.
The story springs from the children's book Skrædderkaninerne og Måneskinssonaten, written and illustrated by Marie Priem, and is performed live on stage by two classical musicians and a narrator.
Most people know the Moonlight Sonata's dreamy first movement, but the piano sonata actually consists of three different movements. In Lyt til Månen the music from all three movements is woven into the poetic story of the two tailor rabbits Zig and Zag and the girl they call Nat. She turns up all alone and silent one late evening in Papirskoven. In her hand she has a suitcase.
But who is she? And what is in that suitcase?
The storytelling concert is a living collage of story and music, and the story springs from the children's book Skrædderkaninerne og Måneskinssonaten.
