Elværket
Gasværksvej 9, 4300 Holbæk
Musikhus Elværket is a concert and music venue in Holbæk, housed in a former municipal power station built in 1911. It operated as a power station until 1967, when the last direct current was sent out, and afterwards as a municipal utility company until 1 April 1970, when it was taken over by nordvestsjællands Elektricitetsforsyning (N V E) in Svinninge. Only in the 70s was it used for storage for gas and water supply. At the end of the 70s a number of music societies and cultural groups joined with Holbæk Kommune to establish a community centre in the Elværket.
