Museet For Religiøs Kunst
Strandvejen 13, Lemvig
Museet for Religiøs Kunst is an art museum located in Lemvig by the Limfjord and focuses on religious art. In building up the collection and in its exhibition policy, the museum aims to show how the religious dimension is expressed in the art of the 20th century and in contemporary art. The museum's permanent collection consists partly of the Bodil Kaalund Collection with the Bible illustrations from 1992, partly of the Passion series by Georg Rouault from 1939 and several individual works by Marc Chagall, Andrei Kolkoutine, Peter Brandes, Sven Havsteen-Mikkelsen and Erik Heide. In addition, a number of prominent artists are represented.
