Nivaagaards Malerisamling, next to Nivågård in Nivå, is a Danish art museum with a unique collection of 500 years of world art. The museum was established by the landowner Johannes Hage, who was a private art collector and in 1908 handed the collection over to the public in the form of a self-governing institution. The museum is internationally recognised for its collection of female artists from the Renaissance and the Baroque. Source: Wikipedia (Nivaagaards Malerisamling)
