Nørup Church is a church in the village of Nørup about 15 km west of Vejle. It lies in Nørup parish, Ribe diocese. The church bears the mark of its association with the manor Engelsholm, especially a major rebuilding in 1732-33 by Gerhard de Lichtenberg. At its core the church consists of a Romanesque chancel and nave built of granite ashlar over a double chamfered plinth. Of details only a Romanesque window in the east gable is preserved. The tower was built in the late Gothic period of monk bricks and fieldstones, the upper part was rebuilt in 1732 with an onion dome, which is typical of Lichtenberg's rebuildings. The north chapel was built in 1621 by Margrethe Lange. The porch dates from the major rebuilding in 1732. Source: Wikipedia (Nørup Kirke)
