Rosenholm Slot is a manor house on Djursland a little north of Hornslet, 25 km north-east of Aarhus. The main building is counted among the most magnificent and picturesque Danish manor houses. Since its foundation in 1559, Rosenholm has been in the possession of the noble Rosenkrantz family, and the manor is Denmark's oldest family seat. Today the main building and park belong to a family foundation run by members of the family. The place became truly nationally famous when the manor served as the setting for Danmarks Radio's TV Christmas calendar Jul på Slottet.
