Gloria

Description

The stage is set for mighty harmony in Nidarosdomen when two of Trondheim’s strongest tradition-bearers organise a concert together for the first time. The programme includes John Rutter’s Gloria for choir, brass, organ and percussion, a work written in 1974 based on the Latin Gloria text from the Catholic mass. Gloria gives us ensemble playing marked by rhythmic vitality, mighty brass sonorities and contrasts between jubilation and calm. Contrasting harmony and a sacred atmosphere will characterise this October evening, and we promise that no one will leave Nidarosdomen unmoved after this concert.
