Luftforsvarets musikkorps
Luftforsvarets musikkorps is based in Trondheim, but has gained a strong national profile in concert and event contexts. The band has a great breadth of genres and gives concerts both for the Armed Forces - particularly in cooperation with the Air Force - and for the civilian audience.
Luftforsvarets musikkorps was established in 2006 but nevertheless has a history of two hundred years as a band in the Armed Forces. Established in 1818 as the 5th Brigade's band and later as the 5th Division's band and Forsvarets Musikkorps Trøndelag, the band was for over a hundred years Trondheim's only professional ensemble. After the transition to the Air Force the band has gone from being a band for Central Norway to having the whole country as its area of work.
No genre is unknown to us.
For Luftforsvarets musikkorps the thesis is: no genre is unknown to us. Luftforsvarets musikkorps works closely with Luftkrigsskolen and Ørland hovedflystasjon and regularly visits all the Air Force's units around the country.
