The Opera Tempter

Description

In the world of opera the bass is seldom allowed to be the hero. He is the servant, the priest, the devil - the one who stands to the side and whispers. He is the one who knows something you do not, who opens a door you perhaps should not walk through, and who always has time to wait for you to make up your mind. The concert performance is about roles such as the seducer, the tempter, the one who lures - whether it happens through cunning, charm or outright lies. And about what always comes in the end: the bill. Under the direction of Jørgen Magnus Haslum and Boris Schâfer, opera, lied and musical are woven together in fine harmony. Programme: Rossini / "La calunnia" Mozart / "Madamina" Gounod / "Vous qui faites l'endormie" Schubert / "Heidenröslein" Harnick / "If I Were a Rich Man" Mozart / "Papagena, Papagena!"
