Description
ABOUT AKSIOM Aksiom is an Oslo-based ensemble for contemporary music, established in 2010. The ensemble works mainly with newly composed music in close collaboration with composers, and over the years has developed an extensive repertoire of new works. Aksiom combines musicians with backgrounds in classical, contemporary music, jazz and improvisation, which gives the ensemble a broad artistic starting point for different kinds of collaboration. Aksiom has a particular focus on developing and performing new Norwegian and Nordic music. Aksiom has played at festivals such as Ultima, Borealis, Klang, Only Connect and HøstRiss, and over the years has collaborated with a number of Nordic composers, including Johan Svensson, Lisa Streich, Inga Aas, Jo David Meyer Lysne and Sarah Hennies. In 2016 the ensemble's debut CD was released on LAWO Classics, to good reviews in, among others, Morgenbladet, Klassekampen and TEMPO (UK). New releases are expected during both 2027 and 2028. ABOUT THE LOST TANGOS The artist couple Guoste Tamulynaite and Jan Martin Gismervik have collaborated on several projects, including Balconies, 4262, Håvard Volden and the dance performance Indre. As a duo they perform under the name The Lost Tangos, a project started in 2017. The duo works with a broad expression that embraces abstract as well as popular-culture references, kitsch elements and quasi-expressions. This, mixed with elements from improvised music and art music, is handled in an exploratory and form-conscious way. Both members are active musicians on the alternative and improvised music scene in Oslo. They are also composers in the contemporary music segment, with world premieres at festivals including Borealis, Sildajazz, Only Connect, Motvind-festivalen and Podium. The duo also has experience of interdisciplinary projects, with performances staged by, among others, Teater Innlandet, Bærum Kulturhus, DansiT and Kloden scene. In this project they draw material and concepts freely from the whole of their artistry and blend it all together carefree into an idea-rich and genre-shifting expression. Right next to Rådhusgata 30. PublikUng PublikUng is an organisation that lowers the threshold for young people to go to opera and classical music concerts. The vision is to spread interest in these art forms and make them more accessible to those between 18 and 30. PublikUng now has just under 2000 members, and it costs only kr 50,- to join. The only rule is that if you have received a free or very cheap ticket to a concert/performance, the registration is binding. You MUST then use your ticket. If you do not, there is unfortunately a fine. There is always a long waiting list and someone else who would like to go in your place if you cannot. Please let us know if you are not going to use your ticket after all. You can also give it to a friend. Sign up via publikung.no Become a member of Opera til folket Membership has a one-off price of kr 250,- and gives you, among other things, discounted tickets for most tickets at Gamle Raadhus Scene! When you sign up you will be sent an email with payment details. Go to the front page of Opera til folket and sign up. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. Instructions for booking tickets Once you have reached the TicketCo page, first choose the number of tickets, then press the yellow button that says «BESTILL». Then press «FORTSETT». You now come to a very simple registration (register only one name for all the tickets, and you will save a lot of time). Finally you come to a payment page, where you need Bank-ID to pay.
