Orpheus in the Underworld

Description

Opera for the masses It is crude, fun and very socially critical. It is time for a flock of sheep and plague-of-the-land music when Vidar Magnussen's Orpheus in the Underworld tears the Opera House to shreds once again! People think they know what they get at the Opera: love and death, great sorrow, little fun and a theme as ancient as the art of opera itself. People think so. People are wrong. For nothing is as people expect when director Vidar Magnussen's operetta returns to Bjørvika – with Kristoffer Olsen in one of the leading roles. You are hereby invited to a wild party of the gods with plenty of drink, sickeningly familiar music, costumes of the rough sort – and a can-can that kicks in all directions.
