Description

Freedom and feeling – served à la Mozart. In his day Mozart was known for his art of improvisation, which left a strong mark on his compositions. Within the clear structure one hears an expression of freedom, childlikeness and a wide range of emotions, which live on long beyond his time and into our own. This concert explores the improvisatory character of Mozart's piano music, and invites the audience into an ornamented space where planned intention and spontaneity exist side by side. The programme is like an omakase menu, with carefully chosen dishes that lead each work naturally on to the next. Programme: Mozart / Rondo in D major, K. 485 Mozart / Rondo in D major for piano and orchestra, K. 382 Mozart / Fantasia in C minor, K. 475 Mozart / Piano Sonata No. 14 in C minor, K. 457 Mozart / 12 Variations on «Ah, vous dirai-je Maman», K. 265 Mozart / Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat major, K. 595: 2nd and 3rd movements
