SiTron
SiTron (Sinfonietta i Trondheim) is a chamber ensemble specialising in contemporary music. The musicians are drawn from Trondheim's professional music scene, and the ensemble serves as a creative meeting place for musicians from Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Norwegian Air Force Band, NTNU and the large freelance community.
SiTron performs new music with the main emphasis on notated music, but also music that builds on and contains improvisation. This combination places great demands on technical and artistic skills, in addition to the ability to improvise and a generally high degree of independence.
The ensemble delivers high quality in this crossover field locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. It helps to awaken curiosity among our partners, and brings valuable artistic attention to the cultural city of Trondheim.
