This week Lea Han (pianist, festival director at @festivalnfriends and part of Nordic Artists Management) will give you her guide to upcoming events.
🌊 My name is Lea Han and I have just completed my official studies as a pianist in the summer of 2021 (at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium). I spend my time working at Nordic Artists Management (NAM, as I call it) and planning my festival, Festival & Friends - which will take place for the third time in July 2022.
Although December is a dark month (literally) and we can feel covid-19 creeping around us again, we are still lucky to have classical concerts where time and space are about more than social distancing and restrictions. Having just read Harry Potter 1-7, my recommendations may be inspired by the magic of storytelling, a good plot and experiences that can broaden the horizon 🪄🌜.
- KILL YOUR DARLINGS (Modern Dance by CORPUS): I love modern dance. It is always so unexpected and interesting to watch. This will be CORPUS' last performance at Det Kongelige Teater - better late than never 💥.
- A Masked Ball (opera by Verdi): I love a good old drama with period costumes. I expect at least three people to die during these 2 hours and 50 minutes 🎭.
- The Nutcracker (Ballet by Balanchine): I have perhaps seen this three times already? A magical universe, fantastic music by Tchaikovsky, sweet children and human-sized sweets - utterly irresistible 🍬🩰.
