Træd ind i H.C.

The festival traces its roots back to 2009, when harpsichordist Allan Rasmussen, recorder player Bolette Roed, and pastor Michael Hemmingsen founded Midsommerbarok — a festival born out of their close friendship and shared love of baroque music. That same spirit of connection and collaboration continues to define the festival today.

This year’s programme is a tribute to the friendships forged through music — between composers and performers, parents and children, colleagues and audiences. You’ll experience returning favourites like Arte dei Suonatori, Reiko Ichise, and the Girls’ Choir of Fredensborg Palace Church, alongside exciting newcomers including countertenor David van Laar (NL), vocal ensemble LuX (SE), Gonville & Caius College Choir (UK), and the pioneering French recorder player Pierre Hamon with his daughter Ananda Brendão.

Concerts will take place in Trinitatis Church, the Church of Our Saviour, and the Knight’s Hall at Rosenborg Castle — beautiful venues where music brings people together across generations and borders.
