Author Concert - Skyggen Foran Mig at Guldborgsund Hovedbibliotek

Description

An author concert with Kim Fupz Aakeson takes us on an existential walk. Ensemble Storstrøm’s popular author concerts, which combine literature with music, have this autumn invited the author Kim Fupz Aakeson onto the stage. Kim Fupz has written over 100 books, including, besides his famous children’s books, film scripts and several highly acclaimed novels for adults. For this concert he will read aloud from his 2025 novel “Skyggen Foran Mig”. A novel about a man who has served a long prison sentence and has to find his way back into reality. And where does one go then? He walks the Camino, the old tradition of a pilgrimage on which one can atone for one’s sins, to see whether it can work for him. Between the readings, Ensemble Storstrøm plays music that underlines the moods of the book. In particular the walking, as we know it from Schubert’s “Der Wanderer” with its slow, forward-striving pulse, and Stravinsky’s “The Soldier’s Tale”, where the violin and the devil enter into a pact, underline the themes and rhythm of the story. The concert ends with a conversation with the audience, with an opportunity to ask questions of Kim Fupz Aakeson and the ensemble. The author concert is a collaboration between Ensemble Storstrøm and Guldborgsund Hovedbibliotek.
