Description

New Music in the Church: Classical meets new The Copenhagen-based duo of Hélène Navasse (flute) and Andrew Power (cello) visit our resonant acoustics with a stylistically varied programme where classical meets new! The duo takes us on a musical journey across time and place, as we visit a beautiful Bach sonata side by side with new music from home and abroad. Here we will meet new sounds, motifs, textures and folk tunes from the Dane Peter Bruun, the Persian Reza Vali and the Japanese Dai Fujikura. We look forward to a musical evening of classical and new music from abroad and at home, and hope to see you. The concert is free. Welcome. The concert is presented by organist Loïc Destremau Ny Musik i Kirken is a series of concerts in Hans Tausens Kirke on Islandsbrygge, where we focus on music written by living composers. Every year we hold concerts in this series presenting brand-new, recently written works for classical instruments, multimedia and performance. Price: Free admission
