As tradition has it, a concert is held in connection with All Saints. This year a very special work is performed by one of the greatest composers of the Baroque in music history, namely the Englishman Henry Purcell. It is his work, written in connection with the funeral of Queen Mary in 1694, Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary . It is very beautiful and special music, which at the same time speaks strongly and gravely to us about grief. The music was also played at Purcell's own funeral a year later and has been used in many other contexts, for example the music is also heard in the film 'A Clockwork Orange' from 1971. The concert also features a brass quintet from Det Kgl. Kapel. The music is led by cathedral cantor Ole Faurschou. Free admission.
