ANNIVERSARY CONCERT: Søren Rasmussen

Description

The organist Søren Rasmussen celebrates 40 years as a church musician with a festive anniversary concert. Søren was organist at Abildgård Kirke for more than 34 years, and the concert is a personal look back at the music that has shaped his work over four decades. The programme offers music by Bruhns, Bach, Duruflé, Langlais and Widor. On the occasion of Luther Day, Bo Grønbech's Fantasia on ”Behold os Herre ved dit ord” is also performed, which was first performed at Abildgård Kirke in 2017. The concert offers great music, personal stories and a reunion with one of Abildgård Kirke's long-standing musical figures. Today Søren is employed part-time at Sønder Tranders Kirke and stands in at the Danish Church in Paris, where he is also a summer locum in July - exactly as during his organ studies 40 years ago. In that way the circle is almost closed. Free admission.
