Remembering - Actus Tragicus

Description

A warm welcome to an atmospheric - and unconventional - All Saints' concert with The Baroque Society. We invite you in for a poetic evening where light and hope are the focus. Experience J.S. Bach's iconic cantata Actus Tragicus side by side with Remembering (world premiere) by the composer Nick Martin - a work written especially for this occasion. After the concert we invite you to a glass of wine together. There will be an opportunity to light a candle if you wish. Programme: J. S. Bach: Actus Tragicus BWV 106 Nick Martin: Remembering (first performance) J. S. Bach: O Jesu Christ, mein Lebens Licht BWV 118 Instrumental works & hymns ✧ The Baroque Society is Copenhagen's baroque band - a charismatic ensemble that wants to make classical concert experiences relevant to new generations. Together they combine the virtuosity and elegance of baroque music with improvisation and visionary programming. For what if some of the most beautiful music in existence has yet to be discovered? Performers: Fanny Kempe, soprano Kristin Mulders, mezzo-soprano Petter Moen, tenor Simon Sumal, bass-baritone Pernille Petersen & Pernille Ebert, flutes Jesenka Balic Zunic, violoncello da spalla Samuel Runsteen, viola da gamba Joakim Peterson, violone Yngvild Haaland Ruud, organ & musical direction ✧ Doors open at 15:30 - welcome.
