Fauré's Requiem

Description

Experience Gabriel Fauré's beautiful and atmospheric Requiem with Vokalensemblet and soloists in Klosterkirken as part of De Dødes Dage. Fauré's Requiem is one of the French composer's most beloved works. It came into being in the late 1800s and differs from many other requiem settings in its gentle, bright and consoling character. Where death in other requiems is often portrayed dramatically and fearsomely, Fauré wished to a greater extent to create a musical experience of peace, hope and eternal rest. Programme: Fauré / Requiem
