Nylarskoret's 50th anniversary concert

Description

In November 2026 Nylarskoret celebrates its 50th anniversary - and, rather uniquely, with the same conductor throughout all the years, namely Steffen Hyldig, who himself helped start the choir in 1976. The repertoire for the anniversary concert will be selected highlights from concerts over the last 50 years, divided into a secular and a sacred part. Through the songs the choir's history is told. Among the musical highlights are works that the choir singers love to sing and that most listeners know and are enthusiastic about: excerpts from Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem , Carl Orff's Camina Burana , Lars-Eric Larson's Forklædt Gud and Michael Bojesen's Kærlighedssonetter . There will also be excerpts from the beautiful, more recent works of three Bornholm composers on the programme, namely Claus Hjort Lauritzen's Missa Brevis, Bent Peder Holbech's Kirken i tiden and Hans Askou's Syv Gurresange, all of which were previously given their first performances by NylarsKoret. The accompaniment is placed in the hands of the pianist Kristoffer Hyldig and the conductor is of course Steffen Hyldig. Price: Admission 80 kr.
