Description
At this concert you get two of music history's heavyweights, played by an agile and energetic chamber orchestra. A symphony in love – and a symphony that is easy to fall in love with: Mozart's Haffner Symphony is not only sparkling, elegant and rousing music from one of music's greatest masters – it was also written by a composer who had fallen head over heels for his Constanze. Marriage and symphony came about almost simultaneously – and you can hear it. Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony brims with alluring Romantic nature, picturesque sounds and wonderfully fine themes. The music is full of dark storms, cheerful play and long singing lines: music history's very greatest emotions conveyed directly and lightly. Please note: Members of Randers Philharmoniske Selskab have free admission to this concert.
