Concert in Uggeløse Kirke

Description

Ensemble ELIS invites you to an atmospheric concert of baroque music from three of Europe's musical powerhouses: Italy, France and England. The concert is played on historical instruments such as harpsichord, baroque violin, baroque cello and archlute together with voice, and offers both vocal and instrumental works in which the rich emotional register of the baroque unfolds. From heartfelt arias about broken hearts and painful longing to merry, dancing tunes about spring and light. The programme includes works by Henry Purcell, Camilla de Rossi and Michel Lambert, among others - as a kind of pop musicians of their day, these composers wrote music that went straight to the hearts of their audiences.
