Georg Friedrich Händel: Messiah - Christmas Concerts 2026

Description

Let the peace of Christmas settle and get into the Christmas spirit at this year's Christmas concerts, where Odense Barokorkester and Barokkor perform Händel's Messiah. G.F. Händel's magnificent oratorio is performed with an orchestra and choir of the kind Händel might have used. The concerts are a repeat of the well-attended and praised Baroque performances of this grand masterpiece over the past many years and have become a Christmas tradition in Odense. Händel's Messiah is one of the most played and popular works of the Baroque era and has, in most people's minds, become a Christmas classic. The strongest story of all, set to the strongest music, full of changing tempi and expressions, heartfelt arias and heaven-reaching choruses with jubilant trills and majestic splendour. Tickets: Adults 175 kr., students 100 kr., children under 12 free. Ticket sales open two weeks before each concert, via Ticketmaster.dk. Programme: Händel / Messiah
