The Winter Dress
Description
Theatre concert based on "The Little Match Girl". The Winter Dress is an atmospheric theatre concert in which music, storytelling and image-creating scenography merge in H.C. Andersen's heart-rending fairy tale The Little Match Girl. At the centre stands a snow lady wearing a tall, white winter dress, shaped like a Christmas-tree-shaped snowscape. She tells the fairy tale while the music is woven into the story and becomes a living part of it. Two elegantly dressed gentlemen sit on a rococo chair each and let cello and guitar form a musical foundation, while the snow lady joins in. Her dress is the snowscape itself - and as the dress slowly opens, the story opens too. The audience is taken back in time through winter songs, Christmas stories and sensuous moments of Christmas cosiness, stillness and small glimpses of joy. The Winter Dress is aimed at both children and adults - particularly in the meeting between generations. Children up to 12 years: free admission. Adults 95 kr. + fee.
