Christmas Concert - Singing in Christmas

Description

Christmas Concert - Singing in Christmas Wednesday 16 December at 19.30, Sønder Tranders Kirke Christmas is approaching, and perhaps it is time to slow down and let the Christmas spirit fill you. Join us for an atmospheric Advent and Christmas concert in the old medieval church in Sønder Tranders, where Sønder Tranders Sognekor, together with the young bass singer Emil Ankerstjerne, fills the church with beautiful classical music and Danish Christmas songs. The choir will perform, among other things, Bach's Jesu, bleibet meine Freude and Mozart's Ave verum corpus, and there will also be room for Danish Christmas music. Many have already noticed Emil Ankerstjerne's beautiful singing voice. At the concert he will sing, among other things, two German Christmas hymns arranged by none other than J.S. Bach: Ich steh an deiner Krippen hier and O Jesulein süß. Along the way the audience also gets the chance to raise their own voices beneath the church's beautiful old vaults, when there is an invitation to sing along to, among others, Dejlig er jorden.
