Østersøkoret’s Christmas Concert

Description

Wednesday 16 December at 19.30 in Ærøskøbing Kirke. Østersøkoret’s Christmas concert. Østersøkoret is based at Rise Sognehus where they rehearse every Wednesday, but this year they have been given the chance to perform their Christmas concert in Ærøskøbing Kirke with its fantastic acoustics! As something new the choir will sing the English composer John Rutter’s fine and cheerful choral arrangement of the well-known English folk song “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. In addition the choir sings a number of atmospheric Danish Christmas hymns and English Christmas carols. Community singing and organ music complete this musical experience. Then it will certainly feel like Christmas!
