Mam'zelle Nitouche - Raising Hell in the Convent!

Description

Another classic gets a spin in the zany wringer of Figaros and Den Ny Opera! As always, Figaros and Den Ny Opera turn everything upside down in their breathless and comic staging of Mam'zelle Nitouche - Raising Hell in the Convent! It will be hilariously funny, offbeat, bubbly and musically first-class, when the old classic operetta from 1883 is dusted off and sent through the zany wringer of Figaros and Den Ny Opera. Behind the convent walls, the organist Celestin hides his true identity as the composer Floridor, while Mam'zelle Nitouche dreams of life in showbiz. When the singer Deloris Van Cartier - disguised as a nun - seeks refuge in the convent, things go properly wrong. Complications, hidden identities and an entire regiment of Hussar Guards are sure to get the pulse racing for both the audience and the four performers, who play, sing and dance all the roles. As always, it is all delivered in a festive blend of operetta, musical, soul and swing.
