DR Pigekoret's Spring

Description

Choral music and church acoustics belong together. For centuries composers have created music for singing voices, which has had a natural setting in the iconic architecture of the church - and in our own time the church is still the optimal setting for many different kinds of choral music. DR Pigekoret's spring concert is a special opportunity to experience DR Pigekoret's 50 young singers in Viborg Domkirke, where words, voices and notes reach every corner of the church. Here you can become one with the space and the music and get right up close to the singers. To mark the spring, the choir turns up the volume for a powerful vocal explosion with young, raw vocal power and strong newly written works, in which light and spring burst out of the darkness of winter.
