The concert life of Viborg Domkirke
At Viborg Domkirke there is a large and varied range of concerts.
Over several seasons we try to reach as far around the musical landscape as possible. Here the cathedral's distinguished organ plays an essential role.
Choir concerts make up a large part of the concert programme, as a huge amount of choir work takes place in the cathedral parish.
In addition, over the years a number of concerts are sprinkled in with small ensembles of classical, rhythmic and folk-music character, and there is also room for a gospel concert from time to time.
The free organ matinées give everyone the chance to become better acquainted with the fantastic music that exists for this instrument.
For some concerts there is an admission charge. Without this contribution we would not be able to present as large a selection of music as we do.
