Three inspiring days in the company of Danmarks Underholdningsorkester, chief conductor Adam Fischer and wonderful music by the composer Joseph Haydn. Haydn was a superstar in his own time – celebrated everywhere in Europe as one of the greatest figures on the music scene. He had Mozart as a pupil and discovered Beethoven. He composed more than 100 symphonies and is known as the "father" of the string quartet. Joseph Haydn is one of the undisputed greatest figures in European music history. Come and experience why for yourself, when we give Haydn the attention he deserves! International Classical Music Awards: Our first four releases of Joseph Haydn's late symphonies have all been nominated for symphonic release of the year. Haydn festival 2025 Adam Fischer and Danmarks Underholdningsorkester conclude – for the time being – their Haydn journey in 2025, with the last of four festivals. Besides four late Haydn symphonies – Nos. 88, 89, 91 and 92 – you will here be able to enjoy, among other things, one of Haydn's outstanding piano concertos and be overwhelmed by the oratorio The Creation, which many consider Haydn's greatest work. The Creation will be performed on Saturday in continued collaboration with Malmö Operakör, which over the years has become an ideal musical Haydn partner for Adam Fischer and Danmarks Underholdningsorkester. In addition we look forward to introducing two very up-and-coming Danish soloists, who will take on Haydn's Cello Concerto in D major and his Piano Concerto No. 11 respectively: Jonathan Swensen and Valdemar Wenzel Most ('P2 Talent of the Year 2025'). The main programme will be accompanied by conversations between Mathias Hammer and Ditlev Tamm and Mikael Rothstein respectively, who will give perspectives on the music and Haydn's time ahead of the performance of The Creation and the closing concert.
